Operation Dark Divide can be downloaded through the Playstation Network now, with this latest season pass content to hit other platforms in the coming weeks.
In addition to two extra maps for multiplayer matches, Operation Dark Divide sees an extra way to play for the Blackout mode featuring tank warfare, as well as the conclusion of the infamous zombie mode story.
Commenting on the release of Operation Dark Divide today, Treyarch’s Co-Studio Head Dan Bunting commented:
Black Ops 4 released last October and is now nearing the end of its life cycle as the next iteration of the yearly Call Of Duty franchise is just over a month away from release.
This latest entry in the series was notable for breaking tradition with previous games in the Black Ops line by ditching the standard single-player campaign entirely and instead focusing on multiplayer with the addition of a Battle Royale mode.
On the eSports front, the 2019 Call Of Duty World League Championship just wrapped up last month, with North American team eUnited taking home the final win on Aug. 18 after beating rival team 100 Thieves.
The prize pool for the 2019 Pro Circuit included $2,400,000 in prizes, with tournaments running from December of 2018 through last month.
Black Ops 4 will soon be phased out of major eSports tournaments in favour of the next game in the series as teams re-tool their player rosters.
Upcoming entry Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare is due to drop on Oct. 25, 2019 for PC and console systems and is a re-imagining of the Modern Warfare series that was originally released back in 2007.
