Capital 10X – Pot Stocks Weekly Performance Wrap (July 26th, 2019)

Below is a comparison of the biggest winners and losers in marijuana stocks this week, grouped by market cap and country. See whether your picks are outperforming or if you need to rebalance your portfolio.

The High-Level

With more damning CannTrust news out this week, the beleaguered company dropped another 17%.

On another somber note, Curaleaf was issued a letter of warning by the FDA about the advertising health claims they are making for their CBD products. This is the first major move by the FDA and we expect others to follow it. Despite the news Curleaf’s stock ended up 2% this week and it’s still above levels from two weeks ago thanks to the good news around their Grassroots acquisition.

Hexo’s co-founder and Chief Brand Officer Adam Miron stepped down from his role earlier this week. While he is maintaining his board seat, investors did not take well to the news with the stock down 18% this week. It’s unclear what if any significant effect this will have on the company’s operations – at these low prices Hexo may be worth a closer look.
