First Nordic Metals Corp.<\/b>\u00a0(the\u00a0“Company”<\/b>\u00a0or\u00a0“First Nordic”<\/b>) (TSXV: FNM) (OTCQB: FNMCF) (FRA: HEG0) announced the appointment of new additions to its team as well as the launch of its new website and social channels following the merger of Gold Line Resources Ltd. (“Gold Line”) and Barsele Minerals Corp. (“Barsele”) in Q1 2024.<\/p>\n

Board and Management Additions<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n

Marc Legault<\/span>
\n<\/i><\/b>Mr.\u00a0Marc Legault<\/span>\u00a0was recently appointed as Director of the Board. Marc is a geologist and was also a licensed professional engineer with over 40 years experience in the gold and base metals industry including 34 years working with Agnico Eagle Mines Limited (“Agnico”), where he held various exploration, operations, and management positions until he retired from Agnico in 2022 as a Senior Vice President. He spent time working on the Barsele project as well as the Oijarvi project, both of which are now First Nordic projects. His technical knowledge and experience with Agnico will be instrumental for First Nordic as it advances its flagship Barsele Project in\u00a0Sweden<\/span> in joint venture with Agnico.<\/p>\n

Johannes Holz\u00e4pfel
\n<\/i><\/b>Mr.\u00a0Holz\u00e4pfel\u00a0was appointed Regional Director of First Nordic. He is based in\u00a0Stockholm, Sweden<\/span>\u00a0and currently serves as Exploration Manager of\u00a0Europe<\/span>\u00a0for\u00a0EMX\u00a0Royalty Corp., where he has been for 7 years. Johannes was part of the original team that staked the Gold Line belt in 2016-17. He was an important part of the launch of Gold Line in 2021 and has tremendous experience in navigating tenure, community, and environmental processes in\u00a0Sweden<\/span>. He is a geologist and has close to 15 years of experience in the mineral exploration industry. During his career, Mr.\u00a0Holz\u00e4pfel\u00a0worked for\u00a0Boliden\u00a0AB also in\u00a0Sweden<\/span>, and\u00a0Ivanhoe\u00a0Mines Ltd. in\u00a0Africa<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Mongolia<\/span>. Johannes graduated with a Master’s degree in Economic Geology from the\u00a0Eberhard Karls Universit\u00e4t T\u00fcbingen,\u00a0Germany<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The addition of\u00a0Marc Legault\u00a0adds significant technical bench strength specific to our key assets and helps us build on our partnership with Agnico. The addition of Johannes\u00a0Holz\u00e4pfel\u00a0bolsters our operational efficiency in\u00a0Sweden\u00a0and increases our in-country presence. Launch of New Website & Social Channels<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n

In late February, the Company announced the successful completion of the merger transaction pursuant to which First Nordic (formerly Barsele) acquired all the issued and outstanding common shares of Gold Line. In mid-March, the Company announced its name change from “Barsele Minerals Corp.” to “First Nordic Metals Corp.” with the TSX-V trading symbol “FNM” and the OTCQB trading symbol “FNMCF”. Trading in the common shares of the Company under the new name and symbol on both exchanges commenced at market open on\u00a0March 20, 2024<\/span>. The Company officially launched\u00a0www.fnmetals.com<\/a>\u00a0and new First Nordic social channels to reflect its new name and expanded presence in Scandanavia (links to these are found at the end of this release below).<\/p>\n
