Interview with One 9 Special Operations Innovation Fund General Partner Glenn Cowan

Capital 10X sits down with Glenn Cowan, a former Major and Squadron Commander in the Canadian Special Operations Forces to discuss his One 9 Special Operations Innovation Fund.

He talks about the opportunity to capitalize on military innovation using Special Operations Forces (SOFs), why SOFs are like the Y-Combinator of the military, and how he can leverage his experience and network to invest in opportunities Silicon Valley VCs can’t access.

He also details the fast start of some of One 9’s first investments, including O2 Industries, Nothing Artificial, and Equispheres. These technologies span IOT pollution respirators, cognitive enhancement training, and additive manufacturing solutions.
