Emerald Health Offers Military and First Responders a Hero Discount

Emerald Health Bioceuticals is giving military personnel, police officers, firefighters, and paramedics a 40% discount on its range of endocannabinoid support supplements.

It is called the Hero Program and it is designed to honour active and retired first responders, military and veterans who dedicate their lives to protecting their fellow Americans. “These are men and women who put their lives on the line for the safety and wellness of our communities, and the Hero Program is Emerald’s way of recognizing their work and saying thank you,” said chief executive Jade Beutler.

The firm is part of the Emerald Health Sciences group, which includes Emerald Health Therapeutics , a vertically integrated, seed-to-sale business, and various other subsidiaries. The firm has a joint venture called Pure Sunfarms, which is expanding its capacity to handle 150,000 kg of cannabis production on an annualized basis this year.

The group also includes Emerald Health Pharmaceuticals, Emerald Health Research, Emerald Health Naturals, Verdelite, Northern Vine Laboratories and Emerald Health Espana. Each subsidiary caters to a different sector of the global industry for medical cannabis and plant-based wellness. Verdelite is a cannabis production facility in Quebec.

Emerald Health Bioceuticals makes products that do not contain CBD, cannabis or hemp, but feature a blend of non-cannabis phytocannabinoids, along with other ingredients designed to support the vitality of the endocannabinoid system. Emerald’s line of supplements includes Endo Calm, Endo Bliss, Endo Sleep, Endo Inflame, and Endo Brain.

Beutler said they can help with common health issues like sleep, mood, and inflammation that active and retired first responders and military personnel may experience.

The Hero Program also covers their immediate families. Emerald has teamed up with digital identity platform ID.ME so that customers can prove their credentials and receive the discount.

The endocannabinoid system is responsible for the body’s response to pain, inflammation, sleep, anxiety, stress, mood, cognition, immunity, and other physiological functions.

Emerald has operations in British Columbia, Manitoba, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, California, Spain, Italy, and Ireland.
