As online gaming and eSports come out from the shadow of standard sports mania and enter the public consciousness, companies invested in digital gaming tournaments are looking to raise their profile and become household names.
On that front, Axion Ventures Inc. [stock_market_widget type="inline" template="generic" color="default" assets="AXV.V" markup="(TSXV: {symbol} {currency_symbol}{price} ({change_pct}))" api="yf"] just inked a deal to retain Gateway Investor Relations for a six-month period at a total cost of $30,000. Following that initial six-month period, the companies will have the option to extend the deal on a month-by-month basis for $5,000 each period.
During the length of the partnership, Gateway will offer investor outreach to Axion, as well as capital consulting and assistance in navigating both U.S. and Canadian capital markets.
Formerly known as Liolios, Gateway underwent a re-branding earlier in 2019 to bring the company in line with the more well-known Gateway Investor Conference it sponsors every year.
Axion will appear at the 8th annual Gateway conference on Sept. 5, with the company’s presentation to then be re-broadcast online for shareholders to view. 100 companies across the digital entertainment industry are slated to appear at the conference, from tech startups to established financial services organizations.
Discussing the terms of the new partnership this morning, Axion Chief Executive Officer Todd Bonner commented:
Axion currently runs sci-fi MMO shooter title Rising Fire, which is published through tech giant Tencent’s WeGame platform and is undergoing a second phase launch to additional players.
In addition to Axion’s flagship MMO title, the company recently signed a memorandum of understanding with an unnamed developer to launch a brand new game in late 2020 on both PC and major consoles.
The specific details of that in-development game are currently tightly under wraps, with new details expected to be released by the end of Q4 2019 when Axion and the unnamed partner produce a playable demo.
